Shipping

What can be shipped & where (see Terms of Sale below)
Beer and Spirits may only be shipped or delivered from our premises within the state of California. Wine may be shipped to a variety of states, but note that in this particular respect the United States is 50 countries, each with its own regulatory framework controlling the sale of alcohol beverages. You can thank the 21st Amendment of the US Constitution for this; the legal battle over interstate shipping of wine is more than 30 years old and by no means over. Rates and charges

The shipping rate for all products is based on shipping destination, weight and dimension. Oversized or overweight packages might have additional charges.

How orders are processed

Orders will be shipped and your credit card will be processed within 2 business days of receiving your order. We make every effort to ship orders received on the same business day (excluding holidays/weekends).

Taxes

State tax will be added to all orders shipped to California. 

Notification of order

We will send a confirmation e-mail shipment notification to inform you when your order has shipped, but point-to-point or in-transit information may not be available.

Pickup is an Option

If you live in or near our location and wish to pickup your order, please specify details on the form at checkout and we will notify you when your order is available for pickup.

Return Policy

Except in those cases where a shipment was received in damaged condition, all sales are final. Customers may report damaged shipments by contacting us directly.

TERMS OF SALE:

Terms of Sale.  Mission Bay Wine & Cheese, LLC (“MBWC”) is a licensed retailer of alcoholic beverages in California. Except for orders going to states in which MBWC is licensed, has a direct-to-consumer shipping permit, or where shipments are otherwise authorized (“Permit States”), title to and ownership of alcoholic beverages passes from MBWC to you in California, and wines are delivered to you in California. California sales tax will be applied to these transactions, and wine will be stored on your behalf at MBWC’s facility prior to pickup or fulfillment as further described below. For orders going to Permit States, title to and ownership of products passes from MBWC to you in accordance with applicable requirements, and sales and other applicable taxes may be applied based on the requirements of the destination state.

• You may pick up products at MBWC’s designated location during regular business hours, or you may make independent delivery arrangements. If you choose to have MBWC arrange shipping during the check-out process, the applicable fees from third party fulfillment companies will be charged to you before the order is finalized. If you elect to have your wine order fulfilled through a third-party shipper of your choice, you agree to allow us to provide information regarding your designated shipping destination to the third-party for fulfillment. MBWC will provide storage of your wines pending transfer to the third-party for fulfillment.  Storage fees are [$5.00] per 30-day period, beginning on the 60th day after notice of availability of club order is sent.

• We make no representation as to the legal rights of anyone to deliver or import any alcoholic beverages or other goods into any state. You warrant that you are solely responsible for the transport of the purchased products and for determining the legality and the tax/duty consequences of bringing the products to your chosen destination. By joining the Mission Bay Wine & Cheese wine club, you acknowledge that you are at least 21 years old, and that the person to whom products will be delivered is also at least 21 years old. The person receiving delivery will be required to show identification proving that he or she is at least 21 years old.
