The 2025 Golfweek Wine Club Trip to Bordeaux will take place October 12-18, 2025 and includes activities for both golfers and non-golfers as well as multiple activities that golfers and non-golfers will enjoy together as a group - It is not required to be a golfer to sign up for the trip.
  • 7 days and 6 nights at the Cabot Bordeaux - Golf, Restaurant, Spa et Hôtel MGallery
  • 2 rounds of Golf at Cabot Bordeaux Golf Resort - the Châteaux Course designed by Bill Coore in 1987 and the Vignes Course, designed by Ron Whitten in 1989
  • 1 Round at Golf at the Club de Golf Lacanau
  • 1 Round at The Grand Saint-Emilionnais Golf Club - designed by Tom Doak in 2015
  • Wine tours and Tastings at some of the greatest wineries in the world including: Chateau Angelus, Chateau Lafon Rochet, Ch. Lynch Bages, Ch. Beychevelle, Ch. Pape Clement, Ch. Smith-Haut -Lafitte
  • Cooking Class / Lunch and Tasting at Chateau Kirwan Lunch/ Tasting at Ch. Malartic LaGraviere
  • Multiple other wine dinners at the resort and different restaurants and Chateaux on both the right and left bank of Bordeaux.
  • Special excursion for non-golfers into Central Bordeaux to Rue St. Catherine, which claims to be the longest pedestrian -only shopping street in Europe.

    Dr. Steven Greif

    Dr. Greif, the founder of the Golfweek Wine Club, passed the certified sommelier exam in 2014 and has also passed the WSET (Wine, Spirits Education Trust) level 3 exam. He is involved in wine education and consulting for restaurants, clubs and wine vendors in his home area of Eastern Iowa. Much of his wine knowledge comes from his multiple trips to various wine-producing areas.

    Apart from many trips to Napa/Sonoma and Oregon, he has been to Italy (Piedmont, Veneto, Tuscany & Umbria), France (Bordeaux, Champagne, Burgundy, and Rhone Valley) and Germany/ Austria and the Porto & Duero Valley regions of Portugal. He also enjoys playing golf and has been a member of Golfweek Magazine’s golf course raters panel since 2003.
